Most people are just looking for silly, innocent summer movies for the whole family. No gay cowboys, clown nudity or George Clooney-America-bashing crap. It makes perfect sense.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. I didn't even try last night. It was sold out nearly everywhere in my area, even the late show. I went to see Superman, which I thought was decent. The line for Pirates was really long.

The statistic is meaningless because the dollars are not trended for inflation.

Hey, I really enjoyed the first one and will probably see this one, though I may wait until after it's out of theaters. Are they highbrow cinema classics? No, but they're good fun, and something families can go to together. We need more movies like that, IMO.

The site offers a screen that DOES adjust for inflation.

"What do you do? Watch the walls?"

Spend too much time on here lately it seems. What do I do? Plenty to do and all of it is better than giving money to an America hater.

Yeah, it's so much better attending cocktail parties and discussing French wine and the arts.

"e need more movies like that, IMO."

We do need more good movies but I just don't like Mr Depp.

BUT it's still behind SW3 in opening $/theater.

The pirate pic opened in more theaters, accounting for the bigger gross.

Never been to one. Don't buy French wine for the same reason I don't like Depp.

Art isn't so bad. I have one problem though, the crayon always melts while on display at the flea market.

The hoity-toity, super religious snobs don't want us watching any movies. These people are no different than liberal elitists who want to control what we eat and smoke.

Well, Depp isn't half as bad as a George Clooney or Ben Affleck. I like Depp I think he's a great actor and has made some excellent films.
