INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - NASCAR could be getting a makeover next season.

With Juan Pablo Montoya, a Colombian, bringing an international flavour to American stock car racing, the circuit is now apparently considering another major move - bringing America's top female driver, Danica Patrick, to the series.

Whoever airbrushed her pictures should be fired. One of the worst airbrushing jobs I've ever seen.

They should've airbrushed her some B-sized boobs at least. Poor girl is literally flat as a board.

You got that right! Besides, legs are sexier than breasts anyway and she's got great legs.

"i hear montoya's got a major attitude problem and does not get along with teammates"

That's absolutely true. So, between that, Toyota, Nascars not doling out penalties equally and little Miss take off her clothes to get publicity, Nascar will never be the same.

Check this out.....I can't believe I agree with DW.

OK folks. I wasn't going to get my dog in this fight, but because of all of your e-mails, I guess I'll have to give you my opinion on Sunday's race... or lack thereof.

Jeff Gordon bumped Matt Kenseth en route to victory at Chicagoland Speedway. Hear from Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. after the race.

LIVE from Daytona International Speedway, FOX brings you the next eight Daytona 500's, starting Feb. 18, 2007.

First of all, I want to make it perfectly clear. I'm not defending either Jeff Gordon or Matt Kenseth. I'm not defending anything. I've been accused of being the master of the obvious, and in this case, here's what's obvious to me.

What happens on the track is obviously between the drivers, and there's my problem. Drivers should not be allowed to take matters into their own hands. Retaliation, grudges and paybacks are all part of sports. Any sport. That's why you have officials. There's not a sanctioning body in the world that would not have action on what happened Sunday or on any Sunday as far as that goes. And that includes NASCAR.

After similar actions this year, NASCAR has shown that it will do something. In a situation just like what happened on Sunday, Carl Edwards bumped my brother Michael going into Turn 3 during last month's Busch race at Daytona, and Edwards was penalized. Good grief, folks! Carl and Michael weren't even racing for the lead. It doesn't matter if you're racing for the win, fifth or 15th, you have to respect the people racing around you.

You don't just run over people because you're faster than they are, or they're in your way. I get so sick of hearing, "Well, it's just one of those racing things. They were just racing hard." Our sports is built on hard racing and competition, but keep it clean and fair.

I love aggressive racing. I want to see guys get up on the wheel. I want to see them do everything they can to win, but I don't want to see one driver run over another driver just for the sake of knocking them out of the way so they can win the race. It's just not fair.

Not only did NASCAR penalize Carl at Daytona, they did the same thing to Clint Bowyer earlier this year at the Phoenix Busch race when he got in the back of Jason Leffler. They sent Bowyer to the back of the field. They did the same thing to Michael in the Busch race at Las Vegas in March.

Folks, I believe most drivers would agree that you've got to respect the leader of any race at any time. He didn't fall out of the sky and get in front; he did something right to get there. It's your job to race him, not wreck him. It's that way for all positions. You don't knock people out of your way just because you're faster than they are. That's not the way it works.

I bet Jeff Gordon will be jealous!

Seems your still jealous JG gets the best looking women.

Why don't you let your hatred of JG go?

It is so unchristian of you.

Not true. I prefer open-wheel racing and have seen many, many races.

It's not that I don't like Danica, I just think those pictures of her in FHM aren't very good. She doesn't pull off that serious I'm-wearing-leather-look. It does nothing for how pretty she really is.

I know you're a guy and don't care but this pose looks stupid:

She's far prettier smiling:

Here's another one....

Trouble looms for NASCAR

There is a problem looming on the horizon for NASCAR, darkening the sky like an approaching thunderstorm and roiling the air like a tropical storm.
And unless the sanctioning body gets a handle on it, ill winds could be blowing for years to come. That was the assessment of Nextel Cup driver Jeff Burton of Richard Childress Racing, speaking with reporters Tuesday.

Alluding to the arrival of four Toyota teams plus an unspecified number of other outfits featuring high-profile drivers unknown to the fan base and media, Burton portended hard times for existing teams unless they hunker down, retain good people and generally keep their houses in order.

The problems don't stop there.

NASCAR's increasing popularity in the racing community is placing a premium on skilled drivers and the like. That is creating a dearth of experience that will result in increasing payroll bills and more seasoned drivers finding seat time in place of the young guns who had been the rage.

In sum, the normally frank and usually upbeat Burton transcended caution and bespoke troubled times.

"Next year's going to be tough," he said, echoing sentiments expressed by former Roush Racing teammate Mark Martin, who spoke with reporters on Monday.

"If you look at what's going on in the sport and you look at how many teams . . . the teams we know about that are coming into the sport, there's some we don't know about, there's some you guys (media) don't know about. The competition level next year is going to be intense."

Normally, increased competition would be welcomed by any racing series. Burton sees another side to it.>>>>>>>>MORE

I never really noticed, but she does have large hands for such a petite lady. It must be from gripping the steering wheel so tight. (See post #13)

Seriously, her hands look normal in the picture with David Letterman (post #23). I think that hand in post #13 looks large because of lens distortion of the camera.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Danica came in 4th last night.

Nice finish for her.
