I don't think there are many people under 50 who have even seen Song of the South.

I saw Song of the South in grade school. We used to get movies on Friday afternoon, and one Friday we got that one.

We also had the reader with the Little Black Sambo story in it.

No, this wasn't in Alabama, it was up in Yankeeland.

I thought SotS was re-issued briefly in the 80s in theatres but I could be wrong.

The Capitol Steps spoofed a certain song from the movie just after the Clinton-Monica incident: "I'm unzippin' my doo dah every day/Some young intern could be comin' my way"
