I feel like ET! Home, Home. :)
The Diplomatic Tango
One step forward,
then two steps back with him,
change your partner,
then do it all again,
Bouquet of carrots,
or stick twirled violently,
Peace comes hard won,
Yet war comes instantly.
Words, o words, o spinning words,
so diplomatically spoken,
offers float by like trial balloons,
piecrust promises broken.
Beware the knife he hides
there in his other hand,
who can you get him talking to,
to make him understand,
Gunfire rattles
are not a children's gift.
Peace is hard won,
what glue can heal this rift?
Words, o words, o spinning words,
so diplomatically spoken,
offers float by like trial balloons,
piecrust promises broken.
Feint and thrust and
don't let them see your plan
play them together
and hope they understand.
Cover your backside,
or else you'll feel the knife.
Peace comes hard won -
What salve can heal this strife?
Words, o words, o spinning words,
so diplomatically spoken,
offers float by like trial balloons,
piecrust promises broken.
No gambling?
HUH, I bought $10.00 in quarters to gamble with. Looked high and low for a one armed bandit, no such animal anymore.
Dang quarters got to heavy so I went right back and turned them in for my $10.00 bucks. No gambling!
\
I was handing tips out for this that and the other thing. Man I can't afforrd to gamble.
Powerful poem, Knitting. Thank You.
Ah, WJ this is so sweet, thank you.
I was going to put the poem I read into a fancy frame but I will just post it as is.
I'll ping everyone. It is a riot.
Are you going to be able to steal time to rest up from your trip?
Rather than ET going home, I picture you as more of a Dorothy in OZ.
This poem cracked up the entire audience!
The Dragon, Old Three Toes, Applies for Disability
1) Old Three Toes awoke one day, moaned and groaned
2) theres no fair play in Dragonland of Glen Gaul Way.
3) Grumbling to himself hed say I lost these toes, for this Grand Glen
4) youd think my retirement would soon begin.
5) But no. The paperwork is thick as sin, and my old eyes
6) are far to dim to read the fine print on the page.
Question 1) When did your disability of missing three toes begin, was it work related?
(If so describe in detail how your accident happened.) Use extra unlined paper if needed.
2) Where there any witnesses to your claim?
3) Has your disability stopped you from doing your job?
4) Have you worked in the last nine months or since you first filed your claim?
5) Have you seen a Physician?
6) Do you have proof you have seen a Physician?
7) Has your Physician filled out the papers in triplicate?
8) How are you living today, what income do you have?
9) Do you live with a family of Dragons or do you wing it alone?
10) Has your diet changed since your disability began?
11) In detail discuss your daily activities.
12) Is Physical Therapy an option?
13) For your local Dragon Therapists call Drag-1-800-Lost Toes Dept. Ext. 2006.
14) Dragon Therapy always has a operator to answer any questions, please leave a message with your Name and Phone Number. Cell Phone requests are answered first.

I know! They're Collyphonyans.
Pleasant dreams!
They're Collyphonyans.
What that??
Well, it's very PC you know. They were good poem read and I'm glad for the winners.
Top prize: $20,000 cash and $10,000 Book publishing contract.
Wow! Big prizes! I had no idea. Who runs this contest?
Collyphonyans is how Ahnold says Californians. Some people say Californicaters, it has all kinds of nicknames, much like Taxachussetts.
Ah, I see, night, night, Jewels. See you later. ;)
Keep pinging if you wish to comment, I'll stay on line.
Later, Bent Babe!
What's a sugar plum?
