July 25, 2006 -- ESPN yesterday fired analyst Harold Reynolds from Baseball Tonight, sources told The Post. The reason was not immediately known.

"We are not going to comment," ESPN VP Josh Krulewitz said.

When asked how they are going to explain that Reynolds will never be on the air again, Krulewitz still declined comment.

The only reason they would not comment is there must be legal ramifications....

BINGO!

What is that supposed to mean? I have not read anywhere that he is expected to make anything less than a full recovery.

"Rhoden can barely speak in complete sentences..."

Exactamundo.

Whenever he's on "The Sports Reporters" I find it...he just talks about thing and then, all of ... Once in a while he'll finish a sentance before he'll wander off onto some other somewhat related... and then someone else starts talking.

Boycott ESPN.

As much as it ticks me off that they fired HR, I can't bring myself to do it. I need my daily fix.

They have not updated the website yet. Reynolds is still listed on the Baseball Tonight page.

True, but I really enjoy the Jon Miller/Joe Morgan team.

Jon Miller and Mr Rogers would make a great team!

The decline of the Orioles organization is directly traceable to letting Jon Miller leave for the Giants.

Must have accidently called a fag, a fag? He was the best at giving a different look at the players.

I watch The Sports Reporters every week (guilty pleasure). If Whitlock and Rhoden were on together it would be unwatchable! Lupica and Albom and Ryan I may not agree with politically, but at least they can express themselves clearly and with humor.

I have a relative who experienced a brain aneurysm... then there's this:

“Surgical procedures are available for dealing with the aneurysm, but the risk from surgery may be at least as great as that from the aneurysm itself. The prognosis for people who experience a ruptured aneurysm is not good. About 15 to 25 percent of those who experience a rupture do not survive the event. An additional 25 to 50 percent survive the immediate episode, but die of complications caused by bleeding in the brain. Of those who do survive, about 15 to 50 percent suffer permanent brain damage or physical disability.”

You got that right. Trying to watch ESPN has become unbearable. How many times can I hear about mobile ESPN, which isn't just sports on your phone, but a WHOLE NEW WAY to watch sports? Most of the reporters are an even greater assault on the senses with their idiotic prattle.

That's too bad. I loved him on BBT and thought he made the coverage of the Little League World Series interesting. In fact I hated having Brent Sh$tberger err Musberger show up for the championship game after listening to Harold. Harold did a great job.

Speaking of Albom, and not to make fun, but is there something physically wrong with his ears? Has anybody else noticed what I'm talking about? They look as if they are fake and surgically attached.

I have noticed that too - he tries to cover them with his hair, but it looks like he has Spock ears!

I really enjoy the Jon Miller/Joe Morgan team.
_________

Losing Jon Miller as the voice of the Orioles is as bad as anything Peter Angelos has done to the team itself (and that's saying something).

Precisely!!!! And even that specific part of the hair over his ears looks like two big blocks of plastic. Once you notice it, it's impossible to stop looking and wondering.
