Actually the boxes are quite small, you know, the ones like you put into the refrigerator?
And Baking soda doesn't foam up.

LOL cowboyway--had to tell my 84 year old dad that one. He loved it.
Pinesol tends to be pretty good at such. Would do it on hot water setting. If you had some old cotton rugs or jeans, might wash them with the pinesol.
Just groping here as to what I'd do.

I ended up running an empty cycle with Dawn dish soap. This seems to have worked. Dawn dishsoap emits some kind of funk when it's in the washing machine, but I washed a load of laundry after using the Dawn and everything came out just like normal!

Glad you fixed the smell I was going to suggest Wisk Detergent. Wisk will take out anything! Next time you shop buy a small bottle and keep it by the washer. If you get any stain in anything washable (car grease, oil paint, blood) put a little Wisk on the stain and leave it over night. The next day wash as usual in your usual detergent and the stain will be gone. Wisk has a pretty powerful smell that I don't care for so I don't use it as my regular detergent but it sure will take out stains.
