Great opportunity for someone.

Commercial Fishermen here in Alaska Get $4 - $5 a pound right off the boat for red king crab.

Commercially, (in store) the current price exceeds $28 dollars a pound.

Lets go crab fishing!

How is crab meat? Is it soft and flaky or chewy?
Does it taste like chicken or fishy?

I love sushi and have been thinking of trying crab meat, i just don't want to have to touch the shell, eeeek!

I prefer sushi. Well I prefer sashimi. Crab is sweet mild and flakes in texture. Personally I prefer stone crab claws, but this is great too.

Customer of mine after being all happy and stuff sent me some of this stuff:

http://www.kasilofseafoods.com/seafood-gifts/shellfish.htm

The really big ones. Most crab is a chore to eat. Crack crack pick pick dip dip.

This was crack... and eat... A single segment of a leg was more than I could finish.

‘Round these parts, putting Old Bay on anything but one of these is sacrilege.

Before:

After:

Although it is acceptable to put Old Bay on your potato chips, french fries, corn on the cob, in your scrambled eggs, macaroni or potato salad, but the only Old Bay Crab is the Blue Crab!

Those Daddy Long Leg crabs make a good appetizer but Maryland steamed crabs are a meal!
