Have your husbands name added to your checking account and this will not happen.

Police chief indicted for signing ex's name on check. I know this is not the same as you, but what you did is still forgery. Having your husbands permission to commit forgery does not make it legal. NEVER sign a name that is not your own. Even with a power of attorney, you must sign your OWN name. Be glad you were not prosecuted. Good luck and be careful.
