Morally the NH coach has no case - which is undoubtedly why he said, “It was crystal clear to me that (Vermont’s manager) was not going to let the kids decide the outcome of the game.”When what he meant was that he realized that he could prevent the Vermont kids from deciding the outcome of the game - by throwing the game and then whining to the rules committee about a mistake that the Vermont coach tried to rectify.
