Here's my question. Instead of springing this guy from that Thai hellhole jail and flying him back to Boulder first class - which is exactly what he wants - why didn't the Boulder PD just send one of their CSIs over there to take a swab, check it against the DNA sample from the murder scene, and find out whether he was really there or not? If his confession was a lie, just leave him to serve his time as another short eyes on the yard at Bangkok prison. Sheesh how hard is that?

I don't begrudge it if for no other reason than the police officer escorting him deserves it. But if Karr is telling the truth on this then I hope he enjoyed the pate' and the grilled prawns and the wine and the beer. Where he's heading he isn't likely to see anything better than mystery meat for the rest of his natural life.

I read that he has been convicted in absentia in the US for 5 counts of child porn. He is unlikely to serve time for the Ramsey case, but he will serve time in Federal custody on the child porn charges.
