The sergeant, Mark D. Gottlieb, reviewed the medical report, which did not say much: some swelling, no visible bruises.

One suspect, Reade Seligmann, has what appears to be a powerful alibi, based on a cellphone log and other records that show he left the party early.
"What appears to be a powerful alibi"? Yeah, I would say the cell-phone log, a taxi cab log, and security cam footage in multiple locations of a prime suspect during the time that he's supposedly doing this awful stuff "appears" to be pretty powerful. Try airtight.
Finally, no one, not even the second dancer at the party, has corroborated the rape charge
No reason for the NYT to devote more than half a sentence to that tiny little detail. No agenda here. /sarc

They would dearly love to lynch these three white devils who brutally beat and raped this mother of two, B-student, Navy veteran, woman of color who only one time after a "dance" had consensual sex with a customer but who is not a "ho," but unfortunately that incompetent Nifong and Gottlieb have given them little to work with!
Well, there's always the "OJ Jury" scenario to hope for.

As little respect as I have for the lying thieving bunch of politicians that occupy elected offices, I have even less respect for the judiciary. If they are not putting border guards in jail, they are allowing a less than common ho to put three innocent young men on trial, all because she was a known nut case who spun this story to keep from going to a detention center where she belonged.
Of course their was swelling. She was an escort for gods sake. She had sex for money. A cheap tramp.
As I said on the other thread, Gottlieb is not an MD or a RN so is he even allowed to testify about someone who was seen by multiple MDs and RNs who can testify as to her condition.
And the SANE can testify as to what she said. So would Gottliebs claims of what a medical professional said to him matter?
The DA and the lying skank deserve each other....
When this is over - the boys will OWN Durham and most of North Carolina...
The DA is sure dragging his feet on getting to trial.

Hell they have the "victim", several versions of the "crime" and all the "perps" identified.

At this point, I applied a bent-wrist come-along to her right hand and arm. As I applied pressure, she became responsive, and eventually I was able to get her out of the car. Once she was out of the car, I released the pressure and she collapsed to the ground.” The woman would not stand or speak, so Sergeant Shelton told two officers to take her to a mental-health and substance-abuse facility overnight.
That's sure to impress a jury.
Funny that she felt such a need to make that distinction.
Who knows? Maybe CGM's pimp gave her a beating when she came home short of cash from the night.
Reading between the lines, it appears that Gottlieb's more 'extensive' written notes could have been written on July 16th.

And in this story, not one mention of her driver, who has said he had sex with her that same night.
The defense will destroy the accuser if they ever get her on the stand.
