The charges against Karr in California were misdemeanors. In liberal parts of California, possessing child porn is considered "normal".

When a child dies in its own home, the cops HAVE to start with the people who had access to the child. They start by CLEARING them, so the investigation can move on to the next outward circle.

The Ramseys could NOT be cleared. They investigated nearly 400 more people, anyway - but the whole case was already compromised because the inner circle refused to cooperate in finding their own child's killer.

Instead, they went on CNN 5 days later!

Not really.

They can't paste the name Jon Benet all over the story anymore. This guys story is going to get dropped like a hot potato. The media is in panic mode right now. They had booked their calanders for months to cover this story.

Could it possibly be that he DID murder a child, just not JonBenet? This guy is a sociopath, plain to see. He might've murdered a child in Thailand, was afraid he was going to get caught, and copped to the JonBenet murder to get his sorry a** out of Thailand.

Very very interesting! Amazing how all the pundits began apologizing and making excuses for wrongly accusing the the Ramseys. Maybe first impressions are right!
I doubt we'll ever know but it is amazing to watch the talking heads spin in yet another direction.
Still that Karr kook needs to be locked up.

That was a comment left by a reader of the Petaluma, CA, newspaper below a Karr story.

Rove sent DHS over to Thailand to pick up Karr to get Bush off the front pages. I kid you not.

They might not have to
shop around yet. John Karr might
sue the Boulder police . . .

They could give him a ticket BACK to Thailand, but he won't go for it. OH NOOO..this guy is one clever pervert.

He's gonna sue for Defamation of Character or some other thing. He'll say his reputation has been damanged for life, and boy, is someone gonna pay for this!

This is far from over.

"Karr was not in any trouble in Thailand!!!"

He did have a job teaching second-grade children, only a matter of time.

It wasn't an exact match. Johns' bonus was 118k and change. But that isn't important. The number can easily be explained in a number of ways gone over in these threads at least a thousand times. I personally believe that the killer, this was a brutal sexual homicide, was part of some remodeling crew working in the house, likely a painting crew. He could easily have overheard Patsy on the phone with John discussing his bonus amongst other things.

Let me ask you a question. I've asked it of others on this thread before. No one has answered it yet. The Boulder D.A.,Mary Lacy, hired the M.E. from Phoenix recently to go over the forensic evidence. I heard him speak recently on T.V. He stated, and this is the first time I heard this evidence, that a sliver of wood matching a paintbrush from the basement was found in Jonbenets vagina. We can assume that they have the paintbrush and it also has forensic evidense from Jonbenet on it. Whoever choked her to death also raped her with this paintbrush.

So, who raped Jonbenet with the paintbrush, mommy or daddy? And why do you think they felt this was necessary?

WHY DO YOU THINK HE WILL BE PUT IN JAIL IN THAILAND?

But apparently Karr has the credentials to be a University of Colorado professor. Maybe that was his angle.

If you note here you stated that, " innocent parents tend to be more interested in grieving and helping find the killer.

My reply to you was that they DID hire an investigator which you claim "innocent parents" would do

Sorry if the result of the investigation didn't turn out the way you wanted it to!

BTW you must have missed this part;

A veteran homicide investigator who quit the JonBenét Ramsey case September 20, 1998 did so because he believed authorities were focusing too heavily on the slain girl's parents, according to the resignation letter.

In Smit's letter, which was released several days after his resignation, he wrote that he believes he "knew this case better than anyone else. ...(and) I find that I cannot in good conscience be part of the persecution of innocent people."

"The case tells me there is substantial, credible evidence of an intruder and lack of evidence that the parents are involved," wrote Smit, a retired Colorado Springs and El Paso County homicide detective hired last year as the district attorney's special investigator.

Since innocent parents tend to be more interested in grieving and helping find the killer.

Facts are funny things...try using some

The Ramseys hired a private detective to investigate their daughter's death, and Lou Smit, a well-respected, retired Colorado Springs detective brought into the investigation by the Boulder DA's office, has said he believes the Ramseys didn't kill their daughter.

JonBenet was covered in a blanket when her body was found. Foreign hair fibers were found on that blanket and they did not match any of the Ramsey family or approximately 100 people that were tested.

Investigators have long surmised that saliva mixed with JonBenet's blood in her underpants was left by the killer. It has been identified publicly only as coming from a male outside the Ramsey family.

I would say that if he did murder a child, it would have been around the time of the JonBenet murder. He fixation on that murder would indicate a high point of focus for that type of behavior.

With his psychotic fantasy, as it seems now, of her murder, he would have been able to "escape" into reliving that murder for his "fix".

Still a very dangerous man.
