I think there's great potential for biodiesel, but for our purposes, I favor home-grown, and I think the politicians do, too.
The real breakthroughs in efficiency and low cost will occur when we can transform cellulose waste materials such as cornstalks and grass clippings into various alcohols.
That's a triple win: We dispose of waste materials, produce fuels, and even generate animal feedstock.
