Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - After living life as a single woman for nine months, Jessica Simpson reportedly now has a new man in her life. The blonde bombshell has been dating singer-songwriter John Mayer. Reports say Jessica has been quiet about her recent romance since she's trying to take things slow.
The former "Newlyweds" star-who has also been linked to Jared Leto and comedian Dane Cook-recently started dating Mayer but is apparently taking things slow.
According to People magazine, a source said, "She's tiptoeing back into the dating world. It's the first stage. She's never been happier."
Meanwhile, Jessica has been told to rest her vocal chords after she lost her voice.
The blonde star-who is in the middle of a whirlwind tour to promote her new album "A Public Affair"-became silent last Friday.
Her publicist, Rob Shuter, confirmed, "It is true that she has indeed lost her voice. She's been ordered to rest. She can talk, she can croak out a few sentences. She sounds a little off but she can't sing."
Despite having to cancel an appearance on "The Late Show With David Letterman," Jessica, 26, didn't disappoint fans waiting to meet her at MTV's "Total Request Live," dropping by to sign CDs and introduce her new video.
