Either that or the traditional PC user has been brainwashed into using certain keys and key combinations that the simplified Mac interface is just too easy for them to accept as functional...
Sorry... I just had too....

'at sounds about right. I use XP all day now and haven't found anything "easier," just different.

Our Macbook Pro has no key labeled "backspace." However, its "delete" key really is a destructive backspace key. I cannot, however, find a "true" "delete in place" key. Does the Macbook Pro have one? I tried to see if I can reprogram the "delete" key in system preferences, but don't see a screen to that effect. As far as I can tell, what you are really looking for is a "forward delete" key.
The cursor is always between keys, so the concept of "delete in place" doesn't really have much meaning.
To achieve a forward delete, hold down the "function" key (extreme lower left of keyboard, labeled fn) and press delete. This will delete the character immediately in front of the cursor.

I can't believe you said this. You don't use Macs because of missing c/a/d???????
Oh man, if you only KNEW what you were missing! It doesn't have it, and you'll never miss it!!!
