If Dad gets a snow day, kids should get a snow day too. I hope the Jedis get to have fun!

We only ever had about two snow days but Mom would usually let us rearrange our lessons if there was particularly great snow. Time enough for math after dinner, there was sledding to be done!

They've gone out twice already!

AND they're almost done with their lessons!

I wish they had snow suits though...they don't any more. I dry their clothes in between playing.

I only made the kids do half their school yesterday because of thegirl's birthday and told them they'd have to do the other half today...we still haven't done it. We've been out clearing off the walks and sledding. It's a great snow...we got at least 8". They played a game of clue and now their back out again...maybe when they come back inside we'll do the other half.

G'nad was allowed to go into work two hours late today...tried to convince them the roads we too bad to travel but they were gonna charge him a days leave and he doesn't have many on the books, so he took the truck. We have 3/4" of ice under all this snow and the plows hadn't gotten to the gravel yet, but he made it. He's on his way home now and plans another evening hunt.

Gunner was barking in the middle of the night and I peeked out at him and saw him barking at the falling snow. :-) I told him to get back in his kennel...which means dog house to him. Silly dog.
