NFL ping
The scary thing is this is how the NCAA picks it's champion.
Decent chance the Raiders and Packers will each finish 0 -16.
The only way I can figure that the Radiers are not last is that ESPN doesn't want to have to remember that stinker last night. They didn't even have 100 yards total offense!
Granted it hurts me greatly to see the Pack 32nd, but come on...!
At least the Pack can say they are playing a bunch of young guys...
sorry, but the fact that pittsburgh beat the dolphins(my team) hardly merits a #1. dante suckpepper is no better than he was last season(before injury).
True true. And the coaches apparently don't even really vote (if that Tressel story was true, or if as is likely it was cover for him being caught in a lie), and then there is the heavy bias towards certain programs.
I find it amusing that Favre is the one saying they are a young team. It's true by and large, but have someone other than the team grandpa make the comment.
I think it has more to do with the fact that they're the champs.
Seattle at no. 3? Don't think so. On another note, the Ravens really were not on my radar before last week but they were very impressive. The AFC has so many elite teams right now. The NFC has quire a bit of catching up to do.
Seattle is WAY to high. That performance should have put them out of the top ten.
But now it's reached rock bottom.
Fortunately, I put about as much stock in ESPN's opinions as I do polls.
I fear my grandkids grankids will be asking them why they don't have a playoff.
Part of this is typical week one overreaction.
And the NYGiants are ranked too low. They slaughtered the Colts on the ground, and Eli kept pace with his bro in the air. Offensive line penalties killed them. ...they were a bit out of synch.
We all know how accurate the "experts" are each season. /s
Total overreaction on all counts. Teams that lost are still good (Carolina), teams that won are still bad (Jets.)
