pervicacious \puhr-vih-KAY-shuhs\, adjective
Refusing to change one's ideas, behavior, etc.; stubborn; obstinate.
Example sentences:

Etymology: Pervicacious is from Latin pervicax, pervicac-, "stubborn, headstrong," from root pervic- of pervincere, "to carry ones point, maintain ones opinion," from per-, "through, thoroughly" + vincere, "to conquer, prevail against" + the suffix -ious, "characterized by, full of."
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Here is my example with WFTD.

Although it is now clear that John Mark Karr had nothing to do with the Jonbenet Ramsey killing, it does seem as if he went to Thailand on one of those perv-vacations, where little girls and boys are available for a small fee.

Yep, was before and still am after reading that article.
if loosh would just stay downstairs and sleep on the couch or anywhere else down there, it would be fine. but if i am in a room with the door closed, he will come and attempt to batter the door down to get to me [as i frequently tell xshub, what that he shouldn't be as enthused about me as loosh is!] and i will not have him busting into the bedroom! i have been letting him have the run of the house while we are gone for short periods of time, not putting him in his bedroom, and he has been a good boy in that regard. he hasn't destroyed anything or gone potty anywhere inside
