Depends on which state (not sure what the age in her state is) but in most states, there are special laws that apply if the one of the people involved is a teacher that wouldn't apply to anyone else.

Don't be obtuse,you know very well statutes in most states don't use separate terms for pederasty and pedophilia. The court system is a mess, but semantic technicalities on that level won't fly. Well, not out here in fly-over country.
