YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Mike Tyson could be returning to the ring.

The former heavyweight champion on Thursday will announce plans for "Mike Tyson's World Tour". Tyson, who hasn't been in the ring since losing to Kevin McBride in June 2005, will fight at the tour's opening next month in Youngstown, publicist Bob Trieger said.

<-----SNIP-------->

The tour will also feature former lightweight champion Paul Spadafora, who just completed a seven-month prison term for shooting his fiancee in 2003.

Also on the card is former 2003 Pan-Am Games silver medalist Juan McPherson, who unsuccessfully fought in court to win a spot on the 2004 U.S. Olympic team after being medically disqualified because of a neck injury suffered during a fight.

Heads UP Youngstown - THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN!!!!

Oh boy, this looks like a winning idea -- A rapist sociopath, an attempted murderer and someone who could be crippled by the next punch they take.

And the sad thing is people will actually pay to go see this freak show.

Tyson is evidence that there might be evolution but it is going in the opposite direction from what Darwin theorized.

Mike Tyson Quotes

My main objective is to be professional but to kill him.
-- (on Fighting Lennox Lewis, 2002)

"You're sweet. I'm going to make sure you kiss me good with those big lips. I'm gonna make you my girlfriend." --On Razor Ruddock

Tyson to his autobiography author
" I payed a worker at New York's zoo to re-open it just for me and Robin. When we got to the gorilla cage there was 1 big silverback gorilla there just bullying all the other gorillas. They were so powerful but their eyes were like a innocent infant. I offered the attendant 10,000$ to open the cage and let smash that silverback's snotbox ! He declined."

A notorious Tyson rant
"All praise is to Allah, I'll fight any man, any animal if Jesus were here I'd fight him too,"

Tyson to Jim Lampley describing his victory
"My power is discombobulatingly devastating. I could feel is muscle tissues collapse under my force. It's ludicrous these mortals even attempt to enter my realm."

Tyson on Biggs
"He was screaming like my wife"

On his childhood to his autobiography author
"One morning I woke up and found my favorite pigeon Julius had died I was devastated and was gonna use his crate as my stickball bat to honor him. I left the crate on my stoop and went in to get something and I returned to see the sanitation man put the crate into the crusher. I rushed him and caught him flush on the temple with a titanic right hand he was out cold, convulsing on the floor like a infantile retard"

Mike Tyson on ESPN interview
"I want to throw down your kid and stomp on his testicles, and then you will know what it is like to experience waking up everyday as me. And only then will you feel my pain.”

Tyson at Press Conference before Lewis fight
I want to rip out his heart and feed it to him [Lennox Lewis]. I want to kill people. I want to rip their stomachs out and eat their children.

Tyson's miscellaneous quotes

"How dare these boxers challenge me with their primitive skills? It makes me angry. They're just as good as dead."

"I'm on the Zoloft (medication) to keep from killing y'all."

"I really dig Hannibal. Hannibal had real guts. He rode elephants into Cartilage."

"I just want them to keep bringing guys on and I'm going to strip them of their health. I bring pain, a lot of pain."

"I guess I'm gonna fade into Bolivian."

"I'm not Mother Teresa. But I'm also not Charles Manson!"

"I try to catch him right on the tip of the nose, because I try to push the bone into the brain."

"There are nine million people who see me in the ring and hate my guts. Most of them are white. That's okay. Just spell my name right."

""I can sell out Madison Square Garden masturbating."

"Anyone with a grain of sense would know that if I punched my wife I would rip her head off. It's all lies. I have never laid a finger on her."

"When you see me smash somebody's skull, you enjoy it."

"I have some pain I'm gonna have for the rest of my life. So every now and then I kick your f***ing ass"

“[He] called me a ‘rapist’ and a ‘recluse’. I’m not a recluse.”

Tyson needs to get into the UFC, I'd like to see fight Tim (the maniac) Sylvia or Andrei Arlovski

Why? Is he hungry for ears again?

old fighters should retire sooner than later evidence Ali. Having said that and not being a big boxing fan it was really something to watch him when he was first becoming a champion, he was an amazing fighter until his mentor died.

For a moment I thought you wrote "I'm close enough to Youngstown to attend this event in prison."

LOL. Actually I'm sure it was just seeing the name "Tyson" that got me thinking about prison.

If nothing else, Tyson is an interesting character.

I vacation in the Catskills every year during the summers. I have some friends from college who have a cottage near Shokan and we vacation as families, together. I've been to Tyson's training camp and knew Cus D'Amato (his grandson lived right across the hall from me the first year of college).

Mike is an 8-year old. He was 8-years old in 1995 and he's 8 years old in 2006.

He will die an 8-year old.

When Cus died, mike lost the lifeline.

I've seen this man-child cry over spilt milk. Literally.

Not fair. If it was 10 years ago, you'd be jealous.

I was passing through Vegas the day he was to fight Holyfield. I still wish I'd had a flash of insight that would have made we walk up to a sports book in a casino and say "I got $100 at 50 to 1 that Tyson bites his ear off."

I have to agree. Don King drove the final nails in.
