Ah ... even Mel Gibson wouldn't drive around in "blood-soaked cloths," ...

I think Chevy should play a Hollywood director that has made the ultimate indecent film, but no one will distribute it because Christian Fundamentalists are waging an effective war against him.

One night at 3:00 am the alcoholic Chevy, drunk on tequila, could be stopped by a Southern Baptist deacon/cop.

At some point Chevy could blurt out, F***ing right wing Christians, Christianity is responsible for all the wars, look at Hitler and the Spanish Inquisition, and the Aztecs, and Oklahoma City. Are you a Fundamentalist nut?

F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

Law & Order used to be a good show but sometime in the late 90s they decided that the DA should win every case. Sometimes at midshow he'll lose or have no evidence at all, so he goes on a witchhunt to railroad the person. "I cant prove it but I know he killed her so I'll get him for littering and make sure he gets 200 years for it". And it always works. No drama left.

So let me try to guess the plot. They get the guy for driving with bloody clothes and shouting obsceneties. His agent turns up dead. They test his clothes and the blood is from the family dog who had just gotten run over. We'll, there's no evidence he killed the agent but this guy is just no good so he needs to go down anyway, so they'll charge him with failure to report the dog's death and put him away for 1000 years.

I love Law and Order (all 3), but this might be a bit much. I will wait and see it to give a ya or nay, but if they keep it even than it should be good. The thing I do like about Law and Order is that no headline is safe. They are pretty close to fair and balanced. Also most of the bad guys do end up in jail.

"Chevy Chase, the film actor and former star of 'Saturday Night Live,' was arrested for drunken driving and spent Thursday night in jail, The Associated Press reported yesterday. Police officers in Beverly Hills, Calif., saw him driving at 70 miles per hour, making unsafe lane changes and tailgating, Police Lieutenant Frank Salcido said, adding that Mr. Chase had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit."--New York Times, Jan. 31, 1995
