I know this thread is old but are you using Fedora on a daily basis? How is it working out?
I picked up a retired PC from work and am going to set it up as a common storage area for the home network, plus an internet station for guests who come around and put trash on my wife's laptop (I won't let anybody use mine).
I installed the old Mandrake 8.0 I had laying around from years back when I was experimenting with it (never did get it stable on the old K6-2 I threw together for it but it seems to be okay on the Dell P3 I scored from work), but it does not have support for the Wi-Fi card I want to use (or any Wi-Fi card for that matter).
So I thought why not modernize and I am downloading the torrent now (that is another thing I had never tried). It looks like it will be about a ten hour download on my DSL connection.
Can you put me on the open source ping list?
