Without the Libertarian leaning Republicans, the GOP will be a permanent minority party. Libertarians believe in the primacy of the US Constitution, and therefore in individual rights and responsibilities. In other words, retaining this Constitutional Republic.

I note your tagline compares President Bush unfavorably to President Reagan, whom I also admired and supported. Please note that President Reagan lost nine Senate seats in 1986 and the Senate majority to the Democrats; he never had a majority in the House. That wasn't all RR's fault, but as I recall he didn't campaign much at all in 1986; not nearly as much as GWB this year, and RR wasn't fighting a hot war at the time. My purpose is not to demean RR at all, but to suggest that we ought to appreciate what leadership we have now a lot more than some do.

As in 2004, 2002, 2000..the GOP begs the libertarians for their votes while simultaneously telling them to go to hell.

One day the libertarians cost them elections, the next day the libertarians are too small a group to have impact.

Ya know, lately, reading some of the stuff to come out of the Republican faithful on this forum, maybe we libertarians should go away. (and BTW, I voted straight Republican again this year in a futile attempt to keep the demons out. The good thing to come out of this is, now they actually have to produce.)
