Well, I test the link and now it is down to 7,000. Someone must have withdrew a silly bid.

Nay - this is capitalism.
Supply and demand and all that...

Spoof bidding. Some hacker in Central Asia bid it up.

Will save to show my son--he was 'in line' at Target and now off to Toys R Us.

THey must have canceled it. the current bid on that link is "only" $7600 with 36 bids.
The lack of brain matter in the individual bidding on this is very apparent.

I just bought a $500 electric guitar for my 13-year-old son. Much better investment.

Heh, heh. The seller probably rejected the bigger bid, thinking that he might actually collect on the smaller bid.
Dream on.
To: krunkygirl
I guarantee he is out of luck, he can get a Nintendo Wii if hes lucky on Sunday though.

I see winning bid of $9,101.
(Which is still plenty silly for a $600 item.)
To: edcoil
Wait 6 months, they'll be selling for ~$200

it is down to 7,000. Someone must have withdrew a silly bid. But many more left their silly bids in.
