It's a smashup!!! Paul, Ringo, Olivia and Yoko gave the Martins free reign to create a very unique compilation of Beatle's music. I'm enjoying the lads as I pen this message.

Big Beatles fan here, but this "Love" compilation is about as lame as it gets.

But at least they're not still releasing albums at the rate Hendrix is releasing them ;)

When you combine songs that were meant to be played within the context of the original albums (and this is especially true of their post-'66 period) with tasteless remixing jobs that destroy the perfectly crafted original tunes, you get.....

"Love"

A gimmick for the masses, the majority of whom won't be able to distinguish the remixes from the originals.

But it'll undoubtedly sell.

Buzzkill!

Guilty as charged!

I like it.

I really like the remix of "Strawberry Fields". Much cleaner sound than the original. Nice.

It's all good. Thanks for turning us on to this.

Not so fast Mr. Mojo... (uttered with levity) the original producer of the Beatle's music (George Martin) has the surviving Beatle's blessings and approval to be as creative as George sees fit, in the production of something quite unique, along with the distinct pleasure (bonus) of assisting his son in said endeavor. After all, it's not the Beatles in the form of 'Musak' on an elevator.

I take it you'll be voting with your wallet?

The listening is free... ;0)

Of course Martin has McCartney's blessing on this project -- It'll be a big money-maker, and Paul's got an ex-wife from hell to pay off ;)

touche' On that, I'd have to agree with ya'

I like the help I get in stimulating my childhood memory, when I listen to the lads from Liverpool. It was a time of innocence and naievete for me; 1965-1968 (8-11 years old) I remember a favored schoolmate's older sisters wiggin'out over the Beatles. Catching the Beatle's movies was 'quite the experience' for a spry youngster back then.

You've got a few years on me. The Beatles broke up when I was only 6, but I was fan back then as well. I remember Rubber Soul most clearly from that time.

And my first concert was McCartney and Wings at the L.A. Forum on the Wings Over America tour in '76. ....Paul's post-Beatles prime.

Yep, it's amazing how listening to those great old songs can take you right back.

Too many having a piss fit here. I thought it was great. The sound quality is superb. Besides I got my Beatles fix in for today.
