I saw the commercial too. At first, I thought the guys were gay. Then I thought they were neighbors. It isn't until one of them admits he already cleaned out the garage that I realized that, yes, this is a gay couple. It is extremely ambiguous, as I'm sure was intended.

I didn't see it that way at all. I saw two guys one-upping each other, each convinced that his wife bought the car for him. The garage comment struck me as "you're late, buddy, I already cleaned out my garage, and that's where the car is going.
