I don't think I'm either a naif or a bumpkin. It would be counterproductive for them to market to gays in a general venue - I would expect ads specifically aimed at gays in a gay publication or on shows that draw a large gay audience. Judging from the number of freepers who have seen the ads, these are on general interest shows. In any case, it is obvious to many of us that these ads are about two neighbors, each of whom thinks they are getting the car from his or her spouse. Lexus may be marketing to gays, but as far as I can see it's not with these ads.
Yet they are. That's what is so wierd.
It's just coincidence I guess that the marketing directer said he was targeting gays in a general venue....
