Let's be honest here . . . it was most likely Lindsay's assistant who wrote this.

As much as I don't like her, it think it was very kind of her to write a letter of condolence. Most young people don't have the manners to do so nowadays. It was a very classy thing for her to do, grammar and spelling aside.

I've seen public school teachers write much worse.

I'd be too busy hitting that to worry about spelling and grammar.

i don't believe she wrote it...

Aside from using "of" instead of "have", it's not particularly bad. Not right, however I see worse from college graduates actually attempting to write formal letters, daily.

It's apparently that she didn't do well of school.

No doubt Lindsay got the creative juices flowing with a few lines of flake and some Kettle One straight from the bottle before penning that opus.

Blah blah blah.
Altman's A Prairie Home Companion was an excellent film, and Lohan was surprisingly good in it.
Of course, my expectations were a little low, but still...

I loathe poor grammar but whoever leaks a letter of condolence deserves to be shot. The feelings and sentiments in such a letter are more important than the structure (for once) and often those may be writing less clearly than normal as a reuslt of the distressing subject matter
Whoever publicised her letter to mock it is exploiting an opening that only occurred because she tried to sympathise with the family.

Is anyone really surprised by this? I'm not.
I have several supposedly "adult" friends whose grasp of the English language is pathetic. Their typing, spelling, grammar and ability to write a simple, clear declarative sentence is inadequate to say the least.
And I am series about this. I think it's a hugh misteak for corporations to promote these peeple to positions of power beyond there abilities to speek and wright clearly.
I'm having T shirts printed that say "All Celebrities Must Die"
