Fort Bend County Sheriff's deputies are looking for several suspects who robbed a Katy man in his Kelliwood home at gunpoint Monday afternoon. The incident occurred after the 61-year-old man answered the door of his home in the 21400 block of Kelliwood Green Drive in the Kelliwood subdivision, according to a sheriff's release. A man and woman who rang the doorbell, along with three or four other men, forced their way into the home.
The suspects tied up the homeowner and placed him in the closet while they searched the home, the release stated. Upon finding a locked safe, the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and forced him to open the safe. They then tied the victim up again and fled the home with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry, according to the release. One suspect is described as a well-dressed Hispanic man, approximately 5 feet tall with fair skin and a medium build. A second suspect is described as a clean-cut, black man with a thin build and approximately 5 feet tall wearing a tan or yellow "Members Only" jacket and dark pants. The suspects drove away in a grey medium-sized van or SUV-type vehicle. The suspects were speaking Spanish.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-8477. A cash reward of up to $5,000 may be offered to anyone with information leading up to the arrest of the suspects. All calls are anonymous.
So what? That's what you get for living in Katy.

There is some of this going on here too...We live in the country but in my house we have windows all around..In my kitchen I have lots of windows so when someone knocks on the door I can see anyone very clearly(the door most people use in the family)..I get my gun and shout out the window what do you want (that is if I do not recognize the person)you can't be to cautious any more..I do have a gun that I keep with me or if I am in the house it is where I can grab it right away..If I go out walking the property the gun is with me at all times..Isn't it sad we have to do this...I can tell anyone that would like to try breaking into my house if they value their life they will think very hard about that..
That area is one of the reddest areas in all of Texas. 100% GWB Country! It's a Moonbat Free Zone.

Well dang it! There goes the neighborhood! I live over from Katy in an area where all the Katrina evacuees have taken up resident. We now have higher crime and people on the street corners talking to themselves. Arrrgh!
I live right in the middle of Houston and I don't open my door to ANYONE I don't know.
Pretty nice area not accustomed to this type of con job.
