Barry Bonds will try to eclipse Hank Aaron's all-time home run record as a member of the San Francisco Giants.
According to a report on MLB.com, the sides agreed to a one-year, $16 million contract Thursday evening that will keep the seven-time MVP in San Francisco for a 15th consecutive season.
Bonds needs 22 homers to break Aaron's mark of 755. Second on the all-time list with 734 career home runs, Bonds batted .270 with 26 homers this past season.
He will drag the Giants to the trough one more time, hit 2 home runs, fake an injury and walk away another XX million.
He will then go on tour with O.J.
I used to like baseball.
NO kidding Mcendeo I hear he might go to Dodgers you know Dodger fan they mess with BARIOD
ME TOO but since Roid scandel forget it
BTW I went to Dodger stadium first time Giants play in 2006 season MANNN Dodger fans was messing with Baroid yelling BARRY SUCKS BARRY SUCKS
Or chanting JUICED JUICED LOL!
I wish they would intentionally walk him on every at bat, even if the bases are loaded.
I would prefer that they throw at him.
this is a good deal for the giant fans. each home run ball he hits is probably worth 100,000. the tying ball will be worth 1 mil and the record breaking ball, who knows what that will be worth.
After a really slow start when he was batting around 225. Barry got his swing back toward the end of the year but he's not an every day player and just a knee sprain away from the DL.
'Roids take their toll.
Sign Bonds, fail to keep Schmidt. Smart.
