As we settle into the nighttime of dispair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!
Good morning!!
We, here, will always remember those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
President Gerald Ford's health has taken a turn for the worse. That's all there is at the moment.
As reported here yesterday, scientists in Canada have been able to cure diabetes in mice.
The Iranian President says "no country in the world looks upon America as a friend."
And in Britain, a professor is suggesting that clothes for fat people should have a helpline number sewn into them.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!
Chairman, thank you, and thank you for repeating the fascinating news about the possible diabetes breakthrough. Our son's 20th anniversary fighting that disease comes Monday. He was in the hospital the whole week before Christmas that year, and was discharged Christmas Eve. We were pretty stunned/ nervous/exhausted taking him home that night.

Good morning! I am interested in that article, too. My dad died from heart problems brought on by diabetes, as well as other complications, and I hope that a cure spares others from that type of suffering.
Evan Bayh has announced that he is NOT going to seek the presidency. I find this very interesting, considering he had the largest warchest after Senator Pantsuit.
Just popped in and found the news about our kayak .... a whole lot of kneelin' will be going on ... 'tis true.
Old Soul has a bump on his noggin .... he swung around too fast and bonked his head of the doorknob .... clearly not the brightest canine in the pack ...
of/on ... off of ... into ... etc. ....
I'm feeling better...not 100% though.
The sun is up; I'm on my second cup. That's my ....(That's my pitiful poetical contribution)
Hey you!
Haven't seen your posts in a while.
How's my fellow mud worshipper?
Hubby is still struggling with an upper respiratory virus....very miserable.
So far I'm OK.....but I'm Lysoling the house, wiping down phones & computers and sleeping on the sofa, now that he's in his coughing stage.
Last night I gave him an old fashioned Vicks Vaporub rubdown, just like my grandmother did me.
It really helped!....
We're trying to get well, stay well....as young son is due in for Christmas and we've planned a camping trip for the whole family!
And those of you who have loved ones in nursing, assisted living homes....I know you're feeling ragged too.
I talked with a friend yesterday....we were both there for an event at my dad's-(her mom's) assisted living...
..She said she is exhausted, and I knew I was.
Next week will get even busier---more running around, shopping/baking--, so I declared a 'day off' today!
Christmas shouldn't be a time of exhaustion & ragged nerves....
..It should be glorious, and a homecoming for many families...and peaceful.
I've surprised myself at my organizational skills this year...(I was not organized at birth!)...
..and mainly I'm OK/cool cause I kept reminding myself of the real meaning of this season!
Having said that, is it me.....or do the stores, shopping malls, etc. seem a bit lackluster this year....kinda ho hum?
ALmost like Christmas has come and gone....and it's still a week away?
Items are already being marked down, way down.
I bought a DVD interactive game at Belk's 3 weeks ago....and returned it yesterday for a price correction because they had already marked it down 20 dollars!!!!!!
No one much says 'Merry Christmas' and folks don't really seem in the mood.
Again, is it me.....or do you all notice this too.
My husband says it's because Christmas has been hijacked by the liberals so much, folks are just tired of fighting it.

Mom used to do and the pin an clean old sock around our neck to keep the heat in.
I woke up this morning with the cat sleeping on my stomach and my daughter's little dog sleeping down by my feet. I felt like Ellie Mae Clampitt with her critters.
I am wrapping and baking today...hope that gets me in the mood!
I always worried the safety pin would come undone....I was just a kid.
How you and I must have looked with old socks pinned around our necks....LOL!
Indeed Jane, not a lot of merriment at the malls, for sure.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
