There's no body so no evidence that she died. It's more of a missing person, I think, with a high likelihood that she is dead.

Yes Hildy, there is enough suffering in the world , why should it be supplemented ? It is so overwhelmingly sad when parents do not prepare their youngsters for survival in the jungle. I have seen several instances of the same in my own community here in Vermont. One in particular, a bright young journalist who graduated from the University of Chicago went to south America and laughed when told he needed to get a full slate of immunization shots.

He died alone, in a flea bitten jungle hospital, of malaria before his mom could get to his side.He was also a step child.

Our children need survival skills embedded in their consciousnesses before they move from rural areas into a city, or before travelling outside the country. Many parents do not understand this basic fact, and unfortunately, this is the face of a woman who discovered it the hard way.

I agree with you. It does not matter what political party they belong to. It has to have been hell going through what they have gone through the past couple years. Even strong marriages would have had it hard.

I feel sorry for all involved. Sad to say the least.

This is no place for smirky comments. A mother has been left with no body to bury, no grave to at which to mourn, a scenario deplored since the Greeks in Antigone.

Dr Phil should have had a relationship rescue for these two while he was investigating Natalie's disappearance.
