I had some knuckle-dragger try and explain to me that 25 murders a day are being committed in the United States by illegal aliens. I calculated that out to be 56% of the 2004 total, or roughly 50% of the 2006 total if the murder rate has risen by 20% since 2004.

No indications that he's illegal - lived here many years.

He's been here for many years but I don't know if he was born in the US. I imagine that he may be of Puerto Rican origin but that is only a guess.

His uncle, a Wilfredo Caraballo, apparently owned the car that the perp drove and that was tracked down in 1981 as a result of the uncle being mis-identified as the rapist by a victim who saw it in a parking lot at the boulevard mall. The uncle lied to the cops saying that it was uninsured and never left his property.

Too bad the police didn't do a more extenive investigation back then.
