So what Verizon plan are you on? Does Verizon think you're living in the lower 48 (I think that affects the rate plan?)? Don't be insulted by my questions, but do you have cable? I'm setting up our computers to Skype (oh, the things I have to learn how to do!) and I don't think it'd be worth it if the only connection is dial up.

I use GCI which supplies local phone service, broadband internet, and digital cable TV. Verizon might think I am living in the lower 48, I am on a large family plan that allows all of my family on the same network.

I have been checking Verizon for months.....still not available to my knowledge. When you are checking for plans, when they want a zip code, put in 99701...that is a Fairbanks zip.

One of the cable and internet providers

The other local internet provider's name escapes me just now.
