I'm more worried about the professional spammers and phishers and botnet people.
Vista is initially more resistant to attacks. But if the criminals ever get under the hood and install and install their evil stuff in Vista, I think it will be much much harder to get rid of a rootkit, hijacker, virus or malware. If they take control of the new Windows Defender feature, well, I don't know what you'll be able to do. XP rootkits were horrible enough.
Perversely, some of Vista's new security features could make it far more insecure than XP is.
