Don't ask me where I got it... but I saw it.

Pathetic... Wearing the flag of Texas on their pathetic ''sheriff/deputy sheriff' shirts was a disgrace to not only Texas, but to the law enforcement community (The laws of the state of Texas/U.S.A. prevent all of the actions portrayed in the movie from happening... then again, it IS only a movie... but it went beyond the line) . THEN they added the Texas license plates to the vehicles involved in the movie...

After (and during) watching the movie, I was much appalled by the HOLLYWOOD stereotype of Texans (we talk like hicks, rednecks, trailer trash, uneducated idiots from hell).... As a matter of fact, I thought that Texans should make an equal film set of the HOLLYWOOD set. Start making movies worldwide (international, like HOLLYWOOD) does, showing 'our' view of peeps outside of Texas.

I am sick and tired of people stereotyping Texans as stupid, hillbilly, racist, uneducated pigs.... I think that a New Texas Movie Industry should stereotype HOLLYWOOD as the stupid, babykilling, hippie, homosexual, uneducated, socialist, NAZI, propagandist, terror mongering, surrendering/white flag people of the greatest country to ever exist...

On on positive note (the ONLY positive note for the movie), 1 person stands up to the 'bad' people...

I know Texas law, I was a deputy sheriff in the state of Texas.... The movie throws all of that out the window to make the impression that Texans are 'hillbillies' and uneducated trailer trash.

PHUQ HOLLYWOOD and it's followers...... BAN them for life.... Heck, let's invade HOLLYWOOD and reduce their slime.... freakin' traitors.

Amen!!!! I attend the University of Chicago and have been bestowed the nickname of "Tex". However, when I meet someone knew and tell them where I'm from they always smirk, laugh, have some pathetic one liner to get off their chest against W, or ask me if it's okay that they're gay. What the hell?!!!! It just pisses me off...

I'm proud of Texas just like you're proud of Japan.

Hollyweird does produce a lot of garbage, but this is not "news."

Have a good evening sir.

or ask me if it's okay that they're gay

I always say "Sure. That means there's more p**** for me. It's also a pretty effective way to be sure that idiots don't breed more idiots."

That usually shuts 'em up.

Best of luck at UC.

Don't take it serious TexCon.. There are two kinds of people in the world. Texans and those who wish they were.

Don't ever tell those rude Yankees what we think of them.

Know whatcha mean! Tennessee people sort of have the same problem when it comes to Hollyweird. We all drive pick-ups, run moonshine, live on ridges, drive souped up muscle cars to evade the sheriff, and never had shoes until we were adults. I HAVE NEVER RAN MOONSHINE! );

"I'm proud of Texas just like you're proud of Japan. "

Don't get me wrong...

I am MUCH more proud being a Texan (and knowing how to survive on my own for months at a time in any wilderness) than being here in Japan...

BTW... I WAS involved with the 1st Gulf war in Iraq during 1991.... I was USAF, 31TFW309... not that ir makes much difference to civies... ;)

Oh, I forgot to mention, for those that didn't know, the actual story happened in Tennessee.. was a true story (which HOLLYWOOD TOTALLY phuqed up)... Sheriff Buford Pusser fought a local crime ring (alcohol and gambling) to end up losing his wife in a coordinated hit... he survived the first round... but ended up losing his life in the end..

And NONE of this took place in TEXAS!

BTW, I am from about 30km (20 mile) from his 'home town'... (been in Japan too long... not that it makes a difference... I would still hold my beliefs whether he was from 10 feet or 10,000 miles...

He was a very strong man... and I wish that the people living today could understand and do what he did for the better of the community.
