How about "Beanie and Cecil the Sea Sick Sea Serpent."
OKay, I said Treasure Island and it's Treasure Isle.
I want a prize

Gee, didn't "Laugh-In" have bikini's and body paint in, what was that, 1968, 1969ish? Even Goldie Hawn did some of the dancing in that show.
You guys are right. One of the posts on here jogged something in my memory and I got to a link. It WAS Treasure Isle.
Here's item I cut out from the link:
Treasure Isle (game show, hosted by John Bartholomew Tucker)
(ABC Daytime, 1967 - 1968;
Paul Alter produced and directed this show from a "lagoon set"
at the Palm Beach "Colonnades Beach Hotel"; he also composed
its THEME music;
In this game show couples paddled boats around a water lagoon
set trying fit puzzle pieces together; apparently the waterlogged
action wasn't fast enough for viewers, since the series only
lasted a single season)
Hey; don't feel too bad. I remember the show too! Remember, 50 is the new 40 and so on...
Well, as usual, nothing is beyond the ken of the Freepers. WE should be on the show "The 100." I bet our collective knowledge is pretty good (and our memories too).
Oh, how cute. I never heard of it, but it's sweet.
Don't trouble yourself. We got it already. "Treasure Isle." It's probably in hubby's almanac but was only on for one season 67-68. It's amazing I even had the years pegged right on.
I still remember "Queen for a Day".
I watched a lot of TV when I was little. Very little. Embryonic. LOL.
True. And they were pretty skimpy bikinis in the day.
Well, three of you on here would be eligible for a prize. How about a verbal hug. "HUG"
I think I'm gonna use that one. :)
Queen for a Day! I remember it too! The more pathetic you were the more likely you were getting a Maytag washer and dryer.
My mom didn't want us to watch it. Even back then, she had no patience for pity-me-tv. Later, this evolved into the Oprah show.
I don't remember game shows as much as I do soap operas. My mother watched all kinds...she controlled the tv between noon and 4:00 PM.
Anyone remember Edge of Night or Secret Storm?
Of course. Remember both. I watched Edge of Night as a kid and, of course, that wonderful gothic S.O., Dark Shadows.
Dark Shadows came on early evening in my neck of the woods -- used to put that on and make my mother nuts. She hated it.
I don't know if you ever saw Driving Miss Daisy -- the scene where the housekeeper and chauffeur were watching a black and white tv in the kitchen -- right before the housekeeper died -- the image on the tv was a clip from Edge of Night. I saw that movie with several of my contemporaries and I was the only one who remembered the scene and the name of the soap opera before it was mentioned in the film's credits.
Not that I get a prize or anything. :)
Treasure Island.
It almost sounds like the Don Ho Show from Hawaii. I think that was in the 70's though.
Somebody helped me out and it was "Treasure Isle" and only ran from 67 to 68 (one season).
