"Any relation to Hugh G. Rection?'
There used to be a show on the now-defunct Financial News Network where high school kids would create pretend stock portfolios and track their performances. You never saw the kids, but the show's anchorman would read the names of the groups whose performance was best each week.
One of the names he read once was Hugh Rection. I cracked up at home, but by dropping the middle initial, the anchorman never realized he had been had.
High school yearbook photos; some kid in my class listed his name as "Jack Mehoff". The teachers caught it only after it was memorialized in the yearbook. Boy, was he in trouble.
