Theron tipped for Anna Nicole role

Charlize Theron was yesterday tipped to play Anna Nicole Smith in the inevitable Hollywood version of the Playboy Playmates tumultuous life, as a legal battle raged over her body.
The South African actress emerged as the favourite to be cast in the role of Smith, who died last week. Theron won an Oscar in 2004 for her portrayal of a serial killer in Monster.
The race to make a film of Smiths life began yesterday as a judge gave the go-ahead for Smiths surgically enhanced 42-26-38 body to be embalmed for a possible open-casket funeral, after her lawyer revealed that she had already ordered her funeral dress.
We want to preserve the beauty and model figure of Miss Smith, Florida Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin said. Beauty was important to her.
Ron Rale, Smiths lawyer, said the former stripper had ordered a dress for her own funeral after her son, Daniel, died of an apparent drug overdose in September just three days after she gave birth to her daughter, Dannielynn. Theres a dress Anna Nicole had. The dressmaker had been preparing a dress, Mr Rale said.
Lawyers returned to court to fight over Smiths corpse as her will was made public, creating new legal turmoil.
The 2001 document left all her property to her lawyer and longtime companion, Howard Stern, to hold in trust for her son Daniel, now deceased.
The 16-page will appeared to exclude five-month old Dannielynn, the billion-dollar baby at the centre of a tug-of-war between at least three men claiming to be the father.
In the will Smith, who stood to inherit a fortune from her billionaire late husband, wrote: I have intentionally omitted to provide for my spouse and other heirs, including future spouses and children and other descendants now living and those hereafter born or adopted. Mr Stern is listed as the father on Dannielynns birth certificate. But Larry Birkhead, Smiths ex-boyfriend, is seeking DNA from her body to support his paternity claim. Prince Frederic von Anhalt, the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, who claims that he had a decade-long affair with Smith, is also seeking a DNA test to determine if he fathered the baby.
Smiths estranged sister has suggested that Dannielynn might have been conceived with frozen sperm from the centrefolds exhusband, J. Howard Marshall, the Texas oilman.
Following Smiths collapse at a Florida hotel on February 8, the authorities have begun investigating possible misconduct by her personal doctor, who allegedly prescribed her methadone under an alias.
Dr Sandeep Kapoor allegedly prescribed Smith the painkilling drug, on August 25, 2006, 13 days before she gave birth.
New allegations about Smiths behaviour in the final months of her life became public yesterday in a lawsuit by a former nanny who was fired in November. Quethlie Alexis claimed that Smith, 39, tried to kill herself twice after the death of her 20-year-old son.

1000 years from now, archaeologists will wonder what all the fuss was about and unearth her body - they will be surprised to find two large bags of silicon and wonder what ceremonial purpose they served.

They're trying to turn a B-list celebrity into an A-list legend.
Won't work.

I've never heard of her before, but I googled her image:
One thing I do know about though, is Miss Therzon seems to have itty bitty beanbags, and Anna Nicole didn't have no little beanbags. Color me disappointed.

it was probably just a joke.

I suspect part of it has to do with the fact that Hollywood has completely run out of ideas. I'm saying this after having just seen "Hannibal Rising", so perhaps I'm a bit more jaded than usual.

They are going to have to stuff her bra with army helmets for her to pull off that role.

Charlize is going to have to muscle-up for that role....
It mystifies me why a talented actress would want to play the part of a scandal-mag 'celebrity'.

This is so incredibly sad ... a mess of a life ... anyone that met her appeared to bed her ... then her son died ... I have little doubt that she wanted to commit suicide. How could she have had any self respect or dignity when her enabling "friends" let her desire to die come true? She was a mess!
I just hope that poor little baby gets a good home AWAY from these enablers WITHOUT the money. Then the baby has a chance to be loved for who she is not what she HAS $$$$. Ideally it would be nice if she knew NOTHING about her biological mother ... no one to look up to or be an example to emulate. So sad.
I actually hope lawyer fees eat up her "estate" so the wrong reasons to want Danielynn don't happen. All this baby is now is a bundle of money to enrich someone ELSE'S life till she is of age.

Are you SERIOUS?
Even after her death, he still wants to PROFIT from HER?
He's an attorney all right but didn't work. Anna supported the slouch.

I told ya, child support. Better rethink that claim. LOL!

You know what's especially sad about that exclusionary statement?
She felt she had NO ONE but her son Daniel.
Yeah, ole Howard was supposed to be the executor and would get some money but the nearly all went to her son. That's sad. It appears ole Howard K. Stern was just a necessary evil to carry out her wishes - he was NOT bequeathed ANYTHING other than the fee for carrying out her wishes.
It should be interesting to see who really winds up with what. They should all be ashamed of themselves ... instead they're practically crawling out of the woodwork to PROFIT from her death and be the "father" of this child.
Someone mentioned that ole Rosie, the male hating lesbian thought her SON was the father. I personally doubt that but leave it to another disturbed person to come up with that.

Excellent casting! One bimbo playing another!

You should see her in "Monster," for which she gained 30 pounds and did an amazing characterization of female prostitute/serial killer Joanne Wournos.

That's Charlene on the right.

No. Stern's name will probably NOT appear on any movie credits.
