TAMPA, Fla. -- A man who can no longer feed himself said an uncooked chicken burrito put him in a wheelchair.
Roger Anderson said he ate the burrito at a Moe's Southwest Grill in Land O' Lakes in September and became sick with stomach cramps, diarrhea and joint pains.
Anderson's attorney said the burrito caused a bacterial infection, which led to a disease that affects the body's nerves.
Anderson and his wife filed a lawsuit against Tampa-based GCF Ventures LLC, which operates the restaurant.
The company said all of its employees are trained in safe food handling and preparation practices, and the restaurant is regularly checked by health inspectors.
Although there will never be any way to prove the illness was directly related to eating at the restaurant, the litigator will get a jury of "peers" to award this guy millions.
Assumption of Risk.
"They served it to me raw, so naturally I ate the whole thing" seems to be the quote that is missing.
Paralyzing the customers American businesses won't paralyze?
Not if I were on the jury, unless he proved it, but there is no way to do that.
Well, if the man was stupid enough to not know the difference between cooked and uncooked chicken......
I've heard of burritos being blamed for "medical" conditions, but never paralysis!
TAMPA, Fla. -- A man who says he lost a multi-million dollar business deal because the burrito he had recently eaten cause him to have thunderous gas during a critical presentation. "It sounded like something was ripping a colossal gash in the fabric of space/time...."
I hate the food at Moe's. I have eaten their food catered at businesses and it's been ok. We got it at the restaurant once, and never again. The chicken and fish were foul. The chicken was rancid or something, and the fish was like cat food. We took one bite and tossed it all. Nasty. Totally foul. Chipotle and Qdoba are so far beyond Moe's.
"Bring me a Big Burrito"
"Okay. What's in a Big Burrito?"
"Big beans. Big cheese. Tomatoes the size of melons!"
OMG! I'm in tears...my stomach hurts.
Extra hot sauce please.
This was my favorite place when I lived in DeKalb, IL. Literally, burritos the size of your head!
(Insert Neon Lights here) "Lucido's Burritos"
As Eric Cartman said during his class trip to Costa Rica, "Necessito burrito!"
