Elton John did the same thing one or two years ago. He claimed that the entire U.S. was racist because a "black-diva" did not win.

But a black diva did win that season --- her name is Fantasia and she's a Broadway star even as we speak... starring in the Oprah Winfrey produced COLOR PURPLE.

Of course Elton John was refering to Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson who got prematurely voted off during the night dedicated to the songs he wrote.

But hey, shock eliminations happen all the time at American Idol.
