Today, the laughingly parochial WMAL substituted a college basketball game for Rush Limbaugh. This in Your Nation's Capital.

So what if they are pre-empting Red Sox for Rush, the real crime is when they are doing this to Howie.

Could be a contractural requirement. They probably shelled out big bucks for the Sox broadcast rights and don't want to mess that up. Besides, I'll bet that isn't the only station that carries Rush in the majority of the listening area. If they were smart, they'd broadcast Rush on a sister station for those handful of games. Then again, now you have EIB contractural considerations that might come into play.

Solution: subscribe to Rush 24/7 and listen to the podcasts.

Ehhh, Rush is on all the time. Missed it today? Catch it tomorrow.

This is baseball, man. Spring has sprung! Woo-HOO!

(Even if it is the &$*#^@ Red Sox.)

I'm a baseball fan but nothing is more boring than listening to a Spring Training game on the radio. I guess with Dice-K it makes it more interesting, but I'm surprised they agreed to broadast ALL ST games.

And you wonder why the Rush 24/7 subscription service (which includes the ability to download entire shows manually or through iTunes software) is so popular nowadays....

When WBAL in Baltimore had Rush Limbaugh (he's on WCBM now) they used to pre-empt Rush for Orioles baseball if a game were played during the day. At least a Red Sox game is worth listening too.
