The unknown dog's name is Frankenstein. Anna was a "Celebrity Writer" for the National Enquirer (2005) and in one of her pages, Marilyn (her dog) was bitching about the new dog that mom got named Frankenstein. But mom found out it had a "Cupcake" and not a "Twinkie" like she had first thought. And found it humorous that a girl dog would be named Frankenstein.

Hmmm, well, I don't have any way to judge whether it's true or not that she had a lap-band.
The PETA people put out lots of info about her being a vegetarian and that she lost all her weight by not eating meat. Seemed funny to me to imagine her even knowing whether there was any meat in what she was eating or not.
Vit B-12 is also used for a lot of other things, especially practicing alcoholics and drug addicts, with injections given by friendly doctors. I know more of those than I do vegetarians, so I'm up in the air as to why ANS had it.
Good find, since many here have more close-at-hand experience about bypass and have observed the same thing.
