Howard said that "all the important legal papers were gone including the baby's birth certificate" from the shelf in the closet. Since copies are mandatory in the legal world, I can't see their importance UNLESS they are insurance policies, corporation papers or a new will.

Regardless, they are no benefit to an ordinary thief and when Howard did his walk through with ET, he scooted through the rest of the house, entered the bedroom and went right for the closet. But he did something else. He opened a photo album. On the right hand side of the righthand page was the photo of Gibson and Anna in bed.

By the way, I bet none of you ever received a copy of your child's birth certificate. BUT, you would need a certified copy if you intended to travel to another country.

I have mine but only because I traveled to Mexico many years ago. I have none of my children's. My insurance policies are copies but they also show the division of the death benefit.

Surely Anna had previous wills and her previous attoney(s) would still have copies.

Correct, and if they had the baby in Florida, you'd think they would have the BC with them as well. But the birth cert was 'stolen' from the closet in the Bahamas.
