Since the new US passport requirement for entry and exit does anyone know the requirements for docking a boat in the USA?

i.e. if you own a boat that is registered in Florida -how difficult is it to float in and out of the US and the Bahamas? Would you have to show passports? Where exactly?

I think the new passport law goes into effect next year.
Currently, no passport required to cross into or out of Mexico.

I would imagine people can take their chances while in US waters, because if any tiny thing seems hinky, the USCG can approach and ask the capt to stand and deliver.
