The telemarketer doesn't have any personal connection or concern about the product or publication they are selling. I assure you they hate it far more than you do. A few years ago I worked as a telemarketer Sept. through January and I learned a lot. I was selling magazine subscriptions.
#1 and this is off your subject but I while I braced myself to be cussed out constantly I was amazed that I NEVER was. People would get rid of me but were never crude.
#2 - For Pete's sakes sales are the telemarketer's money and they are human beings. Please if you don't want what they offer just say no thanks and hang up or just hang up quick so they can get to the next person. I got out of that job as soon as I could. Believe me most telemarketers hate calling you as much as you despise the intrusion at your home. You may look down on that job, just be grateful you have a better one.
