Hope you pack something with some knock down power for saftey at least, not that you'd have time to use it... I've heard (from an Alaskan hunter) that you can't stop a grizzly from killing you with any sidearm: instead, shoot the bear in the shoulders to disable him—or worse, a "her".

whoever told you you can noy kill a grizz with a side arm is wrong!
My .454 casull will roll one in its tracks!
plus i have shot them with a bow and they are no tougher than a black to put down !
