Imagine that you are a marine or solder on the ground in Iraq and you have been told that the United State's Senate has voted to surrender? You can call it a "withdrawal", but all of the terrorists in the world will repeat what Osama Bin Laden said about Somalia -- Americans are soft and don't have the stomach for a protacted fight.
If we withdraw, then no country will ever trust us against to get the job done. And what message does that portend for Iran?

Hey, quit politicizing politics.

I agree. Democrats can no longer complain when we call them unpatriotic and cowards. We have the vote to proove it.

No.
Democrats have claimed for six years they’ve been called ‘unpatriotic’ without anything to support the claim.
Why on earth would you want to give them something to point to?
They aren’t ‘unpatriotic’ and they aren’t ‘traitors’.
They believe their own propaganda. They actually think if you are ‘nice’ to tyrants and despots, and religious fanatics (excluding Christians, of course) that all will be well.
We toss around terms far to casually these days. Words have meaning til you overuse/misuse them. At that point it just becomes so much ‘white noise’.
Don’t throw them a line, in short. They own defeat in Iraq now, no going back. Let them swing in the breeze of their own misguided rhetoric.

Imagine you are a Marine or Soldier in Iraq and you actually get to finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Every other country knows that the Democrats are appeasers and that they simply have to wait for the MSM to turn ANY conflict into Vietnam and that the US will eventually lose the will to fight on.
Welcome to the brave new world.

I’m just about to send money to Jon Bruning who is going to be running against Hagel.....I suggest we ALLLLL do the same. We all know that the Dems are crazed traitors, and I guess that we all knew about Hagel but it’s time that we do something. The only thing that makes sense is to rid ourselves of this scourge. As for Smith, it’s my opinion that sending money to any Rep to the state of Oregon would be an excersize in futility.

So now that the Dem's surrender in Iraq bill has been passed, can we count on Bush to give a '30 Pieces of Silver' speech where he calls out by name what each wavering Dem was paid with pork to his district to sell out our troops?
I am sure there are writers here on FR who could write one that would be remembered for years!

I have never seen the Congress at such an ethical, moral, patriotic and political low.I remember the mid-seventies when a big 'rat majority in Congress refused to defend South Vietnam by refusing to fund promised air strikes against the invading communists, consigning millions to death and degradation.
We are one election away from losing the WOT.

You can only feel ‘betrayed’ if they do something you didn’t expect. so far, they’ve done exactly as expected.
Like I said, we toss that term around way to casually, along with ‘liar’ I might add.
Both sides.

Compound that with America's bravest that have given their lives and limbs defending freedom and America. Every Marine, Soldier, Sailor and Airmen serving just got slapped in the face.
The f-ing democrats who think pulling out of the war will end any violence are in fact inviting it home. Idiots all.
