The “tingler”? Do you mean the spine “tingler” with
Vincent Price? YOu and I may be the only ones who
ever saw it. Scared the pee out of me. But it taught
me the good lesson of screaming when I am afraid.

In the theaters they had the seats wired to high voltage...

Exactly what I mean. You hit the nail on the head. My kids have seen the movie, and because my husband is in the industry, they know it is all fake and laugh themselves silly at it. Scared the heck out of me when I was a kid though.

You are not alone....

I saw the movie, too. Probably out on a DVD somewhere by now.

I saw The Tingler. Yes it was terrifying. Gooey, throbbing spinal cord crawling around with an attitude. Ugh!

As for this contraption, looks like a mechanical dragonfly. No doubt a crop circle whacker of the hovercraft variety.

The writing probably says “do not immerse in fauna.”

I saw it on TV a long time ago. Never in the theater. I think that’s the one they hyped by making people sign some sort of waiver in case they died of fright. Screaming protected you from the tingler, but what if someone was frightened and somehow prevented from screaming?
