My first thought was the same. Then I began thinking about what I was seeing, and reading some of the other posts. There some interesting things in the photo. The kid looks Indian, not Iranian, but more than that he/she doesn’t seem concerned about the coming punishment. What kid do you know would stay still while their arm was crushed? Their are no guys in robes holding the kid down. The guy next to him isn’t concerned. Also, don’t they cut off the hand according to Sharia law?
I don't advocate the US intervening in Iran's internal affairs as long as those affairs don't threaten the peace of the civilized nations of the world, but it seems to me that the less barbaric and more moderate people we hear about in those barbaric hellholes could do something to keep such inhuman atrocities from being perpetrated on children and sexually "impure" women. Even more moderate Islamic nations treat their miserable subjects more humanely than monsters like the Tehran mullahs and their ilk do.
I have said here before that I believe Islam is the greatest danger to humanity that has ever existed on this planet. When I see just how cruel, vile, and wretched Islam actually is when given free rein it only confirms what I already believe about it.

If it were punishment, I doubt they would be nice enough to put a towel underneath his arm.
If what you say is true, and I have no reason to believe otherwise since I haven't heard of this sickening "stunt' before, then I will modify my previous post. If that stunt is faked, then I believe the Islamics who perform that kind of cruel stunt on children or women are inciting other Islamics who believe in traditionally harsh Islamic punishment for lawbreakers to actually perform similar atrocities for real on women and children "sinners" who don't toe the Islamic line in every jot and tittle.
Aside from this atrocity which may or may not be authentic, there are many reports from Islamic dominated nations and cultures stretching from the southern Philippine Islands to the west coast of Africa that describe inhuman atrocities being routinely committed in the name of Islamic "justice". And In My not so Humble Opinion the fake tormentors are still guilty of obscene cruelty and are acting in a far more inhumane manner than wild 4-footed predators who kill by instinct in order to satisfy their hunger. Inciting cruelty on helpless victims is equally as evil or more so than inflicting the cruelty in person.
After 1400 years of vicious inhumanity in the name of Allah and his vile Prophet, Islam remains formed in the image of it's original designer and the master deceiver of humankind, no less than the rebel Archangel Lucifer himself, aka Satan. If anyone thought that Soviet/Mao style aggressive communism was the greatest threat that Western civilization has ever faced they were either forgetting, misjudging, underestimating, or overlooking Satan's own hellish religion known as Islam.
